We would like to welcome students back to school on Thursday, Dec. 10 for grades 1-12. The bus route is safe and they will run at the normal times.  If you have questions, please contact them at 766-2437.

If your child is not ready to attend school, please know that this is okay.  There will be counselor support throughout the building during this time.

If you have any questions, please, please call, email or text.

Stay safe, be well.

School will be closed Monday and Tuesday, December 7 & 8. We are taking things day by day and are currently waiting for roads and neighborhoods to be deemed safe by local and state officials. Our hope is to have students back in school as soon as it is safe to do so and the staff are sufficiently prepared for the return of students. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Our hearts continue to be with the community of Haines.

The Haines Borough School District is very concerned for Jenae Larson and David Simmons.  We are praying for their safety and are so appreciative of the work of so many agencies and volunteers who are searching for them.  Jenae is a beloved member of our teaching staff and a proud graduate of Haines High School.  David is an important community member and friend.

Our school district is working closely with the Haines Borough to support coordinated disaster related efforts.  Our focus right now is the care of our community, support of families experiencing loss and worry, and the mental health of all who have been impacted by the unprecedented events of the past few days.

We will continue in our efforts of support and will communicate to our public via our Facebook page and district website.  Families will receive information via BLOOMZ and email.  Our standard is concise, accurate information that is sensitive to the needs of our families and community.
